Synopsis: What if your life wasn’t your own?

Liv comes out of a coma with no memory of her past and two distinct, warring voices inside her head. Nothing, not even her reflection, seems familiar. As she stumbles through her junior year, the voices get louder, insisting she please the popular group while simultaneously despising them. But when Liv starts hanging around with Spencer, whose own mysterious past also has him on the fringe, life feels complete for the first time in, well, as long as she can remember.

Liv knows the details of the car accident that put her in the coma, but as the voices invade her dreams, and her dreams start feeling like memories, she and Spencer seek out answers. Yet the deeper they dig, the less things make sense. Can Liv rebuild the pieces of her broken past, when it means questioning not just who she is, but what she is?

Guest Post -

I’m thrilled to be here at A life Bound by Books talking about my new release ALL THE BROKEN PIECES!

In All the Broken Pieces, Liv wakes up from a coma with no memory of her past. Every time she feels like she remembers something, it doesn’t fit with the life she’s currently living. When she goes to her parents to get the information, they shut down, getting upset instead of answering her questions. She’s starting to feel completely lost, and suspects her parents aren’t telling her the whole truth. Luckily, Spencer, the boy who was distant and prickly at first, is slowly coming around. When he finds out she doesn’t remember if she knows how to ride a bike or if she’s ever had a Happy Meal, he decides they should make a list and make up for the things she’s missing out on. So for fun, I decided to do a list of my top five TV shows and why people are missing out if they haven’t seen them.

1. Veronica Mars – One of my favorite shows of all time. The writing’s brilliant, Veronica’s the perfect snarky, smart heroine. The way the clues unfold in the first season is perfection as Veronica tries to find out who killed her best friend, Lilly Kane. Oh and LoVe, also known as Logan and Veronica. Their transition over the show is amazing! They were the unexpected couple I never expected to cheer for, and are still one of my favorite couples ever.

2. New Girl – This show makes me laugh until I cry. The lines are hilarious, the characters all loveably quirky, and it’s the one show that I count down the hours to every week. Whenever I’m having a crap day, I pull up all the saved episodes on my DVR, kick back, and have a guaranteed 30 minutes of fun.

3. Friday Night Lights – Tim Riggins. Shirtless. A lot. No, there’s more to the show (I just sometimes forget what it is when I think of shirtless Tim Riggins. I’m against sports movies in general. Everytime my husband suggests one, I say, “Yeah, I watched that when it was called Hoosiers.” But Friday Night Lights is about so much more than football. Though I will say, I cheered as hard for them to win the games as I did my home team back in high school. There are great love stories all around and the writing, emotion, and characters are amazing. Texas forever!

4. Supernatural – Dean Winchester, aka Jensen Ackles, hot and sarcastic with a broken past. It’s everything I’m a sucker for. Him and his brother, who’s also nice to look at, go around taking care of supernatural cases. It’s funny and scary and just a good time all around.

5. Breaking Bad- When my husband suggested this show I thought, really? We’re going to watch a show about a teacher turned drug dealer (Husband is also a teacher, so this worried me a bit. Lol) Then my editor was on twitter talking about how good it was. My husband and I watched the first episode on Netflix and we couldn’t stop watching. We lost hours upon hours as we kept saying, “one more episode” until 2am. And sometimes you don’t even know who to cheer for, but it’s just so good you don’t care.

Honorable mention goes to The Walking Dead – Guy wakes up from a coma to find the zombie apocalypse has happened. Awesome. And to Friends, because it got me through college and I still can get sucked into an episode when I find it on TV.

So, what about you guys? Any TV shows I’m missing out on? What would be on your list?

Thanks for hanging out today and talking about some amazing TV shows. I have to say that Veronica Mars ALWAYS tops my list. Love Supernatural too!! AND Friday Night Lights.... a couple other shows that top my list - The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries, Game of Thrones, Castle, The Big Bang Theory. Okay, and a few others because this list could go on and on and on... you get the point.

About the author:

Cindi Madsen sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a new pretty pair, especially if they’re sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music, dancing, and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.

Praise for All the Broken Pieces:

"Kept me guessing and frantically flipping the pages. A unique story I couldn't help but fall in love with." -- Nyrae Dawn, author of Charade

"[An] interesting story of a girl who can't remember her early life…Liv's high school relationships, especially her conflicts with the popular girls and her first dealings with romance, ring nicely true. Intriguing."  – Kirkus Reviews
